Baby Stepping


I've made a video game, or at least something which begins to resemble one. You can press buttons, and things will move. It's not the most polished or most tightly designed thing in the universe, but you know what they say about 90% and so on. I just wanted to get something out there into the world to say "hey, this is what I'm trying to do now", and to make something that incorporates enough of the ideas that I would like to have in a future passion project that I can learn what mistakes not to make, what parts of making a game will I find the hardest, and so on. Making a "Christmas demo" gave me a deadline, which was helpful after farting around for about half a year. It also meant that even for what it is as a prototype, it doesn't quite have everything I wanted in it. I guess if people want it and/or if I feel so inclined, I might add those things after the fact, but this is what's here on the big day. Well, for me it's 4am the day after, but surely it's still Christmas somewhere.
